Gods Symphony

You must listen to the symphony
That God composed for you -
With melodies that touch your life,
Affecting all you do.

At times the flutes play softly,
So that one can scarcely hear,
With cadences that rise and fall,
To soothe the list'ning ear.

And when the flutes are joined by strings
To make the music flow,
Your life takes on new challenges
That music lets you know.

Yet sometimes there are mournful sounds
When woodwinds seem to add
The somberness of minor keys,
And life is very sad.

Each instrument must play its tune
In life as it should be,
If you but try to still your heart
To hear God's symphony.
