The Choice
Dianne Collier

I close my eyes and hear
In the rustling of the tree's
The choice becomes so clear
As I fall upon my knee's.

It's not the call of fear and failure
That blocks my way today.
It's the faults of my own choosing
That have led my heart astray.

For where I sit this moment
Defines the focus of my soul;
Here amid God's blessings,
His glory becomes my goal.

Life is for the living.
Every day each gift is new.
And finally I can hear him whisper,
“This is what I would have you do.”

Speak the truth in every season.
Do not let one day pass by.
Let your voice be heard across this land
Amid the deafening cry.

For people need to understand
That the way may become clear.
Every day reach out your hand
To wipe away each tear.

Give them hope and give them vision
Through the comfort of my word.
Be the light upon ten thousand hills
To all those who have never heard.
