I Wish You:
“A Wisp of Straw – Two Pearly Tears – Three Drops of Blood”
For Your Christmas GiftI wish you a “Wisp of Straw” from the manger of the Christ Child this Christmas Day. A Wisp of Straw, perfumed by the sweet odor of the Heavenly Babe’s body. A wisp of straw, glorified by His immortal touch pregnant with promise of that glad day when we shall see Him “Face to Face.” A blessed Wisp of Straw from the Manager of the Christ Child; be it yours today!
I wish you “Two Pearly Tears” this Christmas Day. Two Pearly Tears from the eyes of the Christ Child, older grown and caught in the alabaster box of Love as “Jesus wept” beside the tomb of Lazarus. “Two Pearly Tears” that tell us He is really Man as well as God, our own Brother Beloved, who knows, understands, cares! Blessed, Precious Tears, rainbow crowned by the love light from His sympathetic eyes, I wish for YOU today.
I wish you “Three Drops of Blood” this Christmas Day. Three Drops of Blood from His Cross; He who was born in a manger for us; born to die for us. One Drop from His own riven side, to cleanse our hearts; one Drop from His own pierced feet that we walk worthy of Him before men, might serve Him and not self. Blessed, priceless, powerful drops of blood from His cross; cleansing you from sin, guiding your feet into paths of righteousness, consecrating your life and hand to his service. I wish them for you and yours this day.
How very easy I find it to wish you these priceless treasures today. How I thank God for you and your loyalty to Christ, His servant, His cause, His church. Jesus said, “She hath done what she could” and He understands now when we are doing our best — He will reward you.
Beloved in Christ, I trust that the thought of this Christmas message will awaken new visions of purity, new ideals of faithful service and new determinations to make Christ first as You accept “A Wisp of Straw, Two Pearly Tears, and Three Drops of Blood” from Christ on this His birthday.
In Christ’s love
